The wrong PhDc use

I recently noticed the term "PhDc" in some profiles. After some research, I found that this term used by some students is seen as unethical.

Instead of using the "PhDc" or even the "ABD" (all but dissertation) term at the headline of your #LinkedIn profile, it is recommended that you write an "Advanced Postgraduate Student" tag. Otherwise, the "PhD Candidate" tag is the most common and correct.

In addition, for postgraduate students, you cannot write "MSc Candidate". Postgraduate students are still students ("Master Student" tag), with courses and a master thesis at the end, not candidates, and it is also a confusing term for many readers outside of the academic field.
